The Rivalry
Famous rivalries are as old as time, like the Hatfield and McCoys or the Giants and Dodgers. Just to our North, we have one of the most distinguished rivalries between two neighboring regions, both much lauded for their distinctive, world-class wines. We are talking about the long-running, though friendly, rivalry between Napa and Sonoma wineries.

The Challenge
At the third annual Napa vs. Sonoma Showdown, you will have the unique opportunity to try sixty of the finest wines from each region. Thirty of the best wineries in the state will be pitted against each other with you as the final judge. Make your voice known on March 14th – do you lean Napa or Sonoma?

The Wines
Thirty of the finest Napa and Sonoma wineries will be on hand to meet this challenge with great gusto – and amazing wines. You will sample the legendary cabernet sauvignon's of Napa Valley and the equally praised Sonoma pinot noir's from the Russian River Valley and Sonoma Coast. Perhaps each region has a respective advantage with those two varietals, but when it comes to chardonnay, sauvignon blanc, syrah and zinfandel it may just be too close to call. Again, that’s where you come in.

The Wineries
The Napa Valley line-up includes:
Antica, Barnett, Brown Estate, Detert, Duckhorn, Green & Red, Long Meadow Ranch, Merryvale, Pahlmeyer,
Pride Mountain, Round Pond, Pine Ridge, Stags Leap, Silver Oak, Sol Rouge, Swanson, Terra Valentine and T-Vine

The Sonoma line-up includes:
Chronicle Wines, Collier Falls, Decoy by Duckhorn, Donelan, Dry Creek Vineyards, Fisher Vineyards, Fort Ross, Freeman, MacPhail, Muscardini, Peterson, Seghesio, Sequana, St. Francis, Twomey,
VIE and Quivira

You won’t find a better line-up of California wineries in an intimate setting all year.

A Classic Venue
The General's Residence in Upper Fort Mason high above the bay and Aquatic Park sets a dramatic backdrop for these world-class wines. Come experience the historical splendor of this stunning space.

The Extras
AG Ferrari will be on hand presenting an impressive display of artisanal cheeses, cured meats, olives and breads. And keeping it lively, DJ Sol will be crafting his signature chill-out beats to set the mood.

Go VIP This Year
This year we're adding a VIP preview entry option to enter a half hour before the main event starts with exclusive access to very rare libary wines and extremely limited production ultra reserve wines at each of the 30+ tables during this time.
